1915: The first elevator called the 'Home Elevator' was built, but one year later it collapsed full of grain. It was rebuilt with an Annex in 1916-17, but five years later, burned down in the "Big Fire of Rowley". The first grain buyer was Frank Swallow.
1917: United Grain Growers built an elevator
1923: Elevator was ran by 'Searle' Grain Company
1940: 'Alberta Pool' Elevator Built
1992: Elevators ceased operations
2008: Restoring elevators to better conditions
Present Day: Fundraising for restoration #2
In 2024, phase one of three was completed. This phase included replacing missing planks on the exterior of the elevators, window repair, a fresh coat of paint, and various other miscellaneous projects.
Phase one cost the RCHA $100,000 in total, with fundraising and grant contributions totaling $112,000.
Phase two is anticipated to start in 2026 provided sufficient funds are acquired.
Phase three is hoped to be completed by 2030.
